First Experience With Clay:
Started working as a production artist in various mediums
in order to be home with my children. Stopped doing shows
and began a wholesale collectible line-Bearly There, which
I produced for nine years before switching gears to focus
on writing, teaching,designing and demonstrating.
Past Teaching Experiences: I've
taught children through adults. I offer 3 hour, 1/2 day, full
day and weekend intensive workshops. I've taught for guilds,
professional educators, organizations such as HIA (Hobby Industry
Association), through stores, at retreats, as well as private
and semi private lessons from my studio or student's location.
Publication Experience: I have
authored the book-Polymer Clay Extravaganza (North Light Publishing),
contributed to the books: Wire Art & Clay for Kids (Design
Originals) and Comfort & Joy (FRP Publishers). My work
has been featured in Barbara McGuire's book-Foundations in
Polymer Clay (Krause) and Jacqueline Gikow's book-Polymer
Clay (Krause), as well as books pending publication. I'm a
regular guest on HGTV's Carol Duvall Show. I'm a regular columnist
and member of the Advisory Board for Polymer Cafe magazine.
I'm a contributing editor for Expression magazine. I have
also written for the following publications: Family Circle,
Belle Armoire, Rubber Stamper, Crafts, Memory Magic, Craftworks,
Great American Crafts, and Arts & Crafts.
